This project consisted of supply and installation of flooring throughout the ground floor of a recently extended and refurbished house on the Kent Coast.
The client visited our showroom a few times to nail down exactly what products they were interested in. We then provided large samples to ensure they were happy with their choices.
The client ended up going with Ted Todd’s Petworth Wide plank for their hallway and open plan kitchen/dining area and Jute Herringbone for their living room.
The subfloor was prepared with 6mm ply and screed to ensure a level and smooth floor ready for the flooring to go down. Both the plank and the herringbone were fully bonded onto a Ted Todd Primed subfloor. A matching door threshold was installed between the Petworth and Jute.
As this property had underfloor heating and as part of Ted Todd’s guarantee, we installed two Fidboxes within the flooring to help monitor the temperature and relative humidity.

The 30 year warranty from Ted Todd guarantees that all of our solid and engineered floors will be free from structural defects for a period of no less than 30 years.
Hardened Oil works by firstly filling the pores of the wood with Natural Oil. The final coats of Oil is cured to form a water resistant and dirt repellent protective coating.
Installed with a flexible wood flooring adhesive to help the floor move as it contracts and expands whilst keeping it bonded to the subfloor.
This floor is micro-bevelled which helps distinguish the planks and adds character to the floor.
